Wind And Water
I have a lifelong fascination with boats and the mariner’s life.
In this latest series, form and surface treatment is abstracted to reflect towering prows, billowed sails, and the constant energy of ocean forces.
I’m referring to the balance created by the weight of the boat and the weight of the wind the sails can gather
- a harmonious partnership which awakens all the senses in a situation where you can actually feel you can see the wind.
The miracle of it all isn’t just the physics of this interplay, it’s our recognition of it that is magic, it’s what elevates us.
It’s a spiritual thing.
